Purpose: For the Glory of God, and under the direction of the Pastor, to provide leadership to

the church music program that encourages worship and praise. This involves assisting church

leaders in planning, conducting and evaluating a comprehensive ministry of music that is in

support of the mission and vision of Trinity Baptist Church.

Qualifications:

• Is a committed, maturing and disciplined follower of Jesus Christ

• Is in support of Trinity Baptist Church Mission and Vision by striving to fulfill Trinity’s

Covenant

• Has a gift and passion to lead others to worship and praise God through music.

• Is skilled in working with and coordinating people

• Some previous music ministry experience preferred.

Minister of Music Responsibilities:

1. Direct the planning, organizing, conducting and evaluation of a comprehensive music

program including vocal and/or instrumental ensembles; (i.e. Worship Team).

2. Coordinate the music program with the organizational calendar and emphases of the

church.

3. Assist the pastor in planning and preparing all services of worship.

4. Arrange and provide music for weddings, funerals, special projects, ministries and other

church-related activities upon availability.

5. Work with Audio Video Team to maintain music, materials, supplies, music instruments

and other equipment.

6. Maintain CCLI music copy report.

General Staff Responsibilities:

1. Maintain consistent communication with the ministry staff by participation in scheduled

staff meetings upon availability

2. Plan and prepare yearly budget request for the Finance Team to review annually
